The Surfing’s Evolution & Preservation Foundation (SEPF) recently selected the Beach Bucket Foundation to receive a $15,000 grant award to fund our Beach Bucket Program in 2025. “Your work embodies our mission to preserve surfing history and our shorelines, public education, conservation, and water safety,” said Foundation Administrator Jacquie Youngs. “We are proud to support your efforts.”
The Beach Bucket Foundation will use this grant to maintain Box O’ Buckets stations at more than 50 locations along Florida’s beaches. These stations make it easy for beach visitors to grab a bucket, collect trash during their visit, and dispose of it safely, helping to eliminate plastics and other debris from impacting marine life in the ocean and on local beaches.
Last year, SEPF launched a Statewide advertising campaign to raise awareness for the Endless Summer® specialty license plate. Proceeds from plate sales allow the Foundation to fund over 100 nonprofits each year. Drivers who select a SEPF plate when registering a vehicle help support their important work because $25 per plate goes toward partner organizations like Beach Bucket Foundation. More information about the Endless Summer® plate website is available at www.BuyThePlate.com.
